soo...just finished having a little fun on trade me (new zealand's version of ebay or w/e). haha, not actually, i'm horrible.
being from new zealand has both advantages and disadvantages. personally, i think growing up in a country so far away from other places like america and england (though we were colonized by the english) has forced us to form our own identity. majorities and minorities are easily hidden but nobody here (in my experience) gives a crap.
anyway, what i was meaning to say is one of the disadvantages of living so far away from countries like america is that the internet is literally my only connection to the outside world. i hardly watch tv but if i didn't have any internet, no doubt i would be a couch potato.
and onto the actual story i came here to tell. i came across an auction on trade me. super junior m's me album. i immediately saved it to my watch list. i mostly come into to auctions w/in the last five minutes and snatch it up. i inched my price higher 50c and $1 at a time before i realized that on this occasion my opponent had saved it to autobid. so i started testing how high they put their budget, it was 35$. the auction kept auto-extending and i realized i had 2 minutes to decide whether i wanted to keep bidding or actually see if i can get it cheaper else where.
i found i could. so while this person bought one cd for NZ40$, i bought 3 kpop cd's for NZ$50 (gst/packaging/handling incl.) WIN!
